Hollywood's favourite saccharine sweetheart Meg Ryan famously gets her kit off in this erotic thriller directed by Jane Campion.

As a lonely teacher caught up in a homicide inquiry she falls for the detective and lets the school ma'am side of things slip.

Some critics loved it for Ryan daring to step away from her stereotype and for Campion's visual style, others said it still doesn't engage.

Either way, it looks great even when Meg remains clothed.
