At last, an Irish movie that doesn't have pigs, priests or poverty. It has a scenario that Jerry Springer would be proud of. Adam (Stuart Townsend) drops into a chic Dublin bistro and spies waitress-singer Alice (Kate Hudson) doing a number. They're soon
dating and her mother, two sisters and brother are planning the wedding.
Alice doesn't know that her sister, Laura (Frances O'Connor), is having a secret affair. Both don't know that their married sister (Charlotte Bradley) is also involved with a man, as is their usually straight brother, David (Alan Maher).
And, in every case, that man is Adam.
A cut - okay, half a cut - above most romantic comedies.
