Will DJ Snake make it to Our House?

It's unclear if a major drawcard for the sold out Our House Festival will make it to New Zealand after being involved in a car crash this week.

DJ Snake had been traveling with fellow French electronic music producer Tchami at the time of the smash.

Their manager was driving when the incident happened on Tuesday, with both artists releasing identical statements cancelling upcoming tour dates the following day.

"Due to injuries sustained as well as their doctor's orders, they will not be able to travel until further notice in order to recover properly," it read.

New Zealand based promoters of Our House, which will take place at Mount Smart Stadium next month, did not have word as to whether it would affect his November 27 performance.

Management for the duo did not elaborate further, but their injuries were not said to be life threatening.

The location of the crash has not been released although DJ Snake was scheduled to perform Wednesday in Las Vegas.

DJ Snake's hit Lean On with Major Lazer and Danish singer Mo. shot to number one around the world this year.

The DJ got his start in suburban Paris as a rapper but made much of his career in Los Angeles notably working on Lady Gaga's 2011 album Born This Way.

Snake had a busy calendar ahead of him, now many of those dates have been thrown into doubt.

He was scheduled to start a tour of India on November 6 before heading to Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Tchami has also worked with Lady Gaga and is known for house music remixes of songs by popular artists such as Janet Jackson.

He had been scheduled to DJ at Halloween-themed bashes near Chicago on Friday and Toronto on Saturday.
