Trolling forces Iggy Azalea to leave Twitter

Iggy Azalea is taking a break from social media after trolls lambasted her for having cellulite.

Paparazzi trailed the Australian rapper and her Los Angeles Lakers basketball player boyfriend Nick Young the past week as they vacationed in Hawaii.

Photos of the rapper in bikinis were published around the world.

Azalea described the internet "as the ugliest reflection of mankind there is".

"Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it's shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite," Azalea wrote in a tweet to her 4.3 million followers.

"I just want to have peace and relaxation time without a perve with long-distance lens hiding out taking pictures, everyone deserves peace."

Azalea said the hatred and pettiness she sees online "is making me become an angry person and I cannot be that" so she is taking some time away from social media.

"I need to be happy, and it is too negative and draining," she continued.

"My management will tweet/run my accounts from today onwards with updates etc unless any message is signed - IA.

"Love you all. Peace out!"
