Brandon Flowers has denied The Killers - who are playing in Auckland tonight - are set to split.
The band's frontman has laughed off rumours the rockers have fallen out, insisting they are already thinking about their next album.
He said: "We're navigators. We like to try new thingsand it keeps us on our toes. It's fun.
"I think I've still got a lot to learn but there's something about performing a big show that makes it more incredible for me.
"We realised early on we always want to do it right and always try to do Las Vegas proud."
Brandon also praised the British music scene, insisting it is more "melodic" than in his home country.
He went on to take a swipe at late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, claiming his music was too depressing.
The 27-year-old star added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "We're learning that America likes the guitar Killers whereas you guys in the UK and the rest of the world have got Day and Age, this more melodic, pop-orientated album.
"I don't mean it in a bad way, but I think Kurt Cobain and grunge took the fun out of rock 'n' roll. Everything's changing though and it's starting to become a lot more playful and brighter."
Last week, it was claimed The Killers - singer Brandon, guitarist Dave Keuning, bass guitarist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. - are travelling separately to concerts after relations in the band became strained after spending so much time together.
A source said: "They haven't had a break since they first formed and it has started getting to them. They just don't seem to get on any more.
"Brandon tries to be a peacemaker but when he loses it the whole band falls apart. They know taking a break could damage their career but they can't see a way out and they don't want to split."
