SkyCity embraces 3D

SkyCity Cinemas is expanding the number of 3D cinema screens available in its multiplexes in Auckland and Hamilton.

The new screens are being installed at Westcity, Queen St, a second in Albany and a new screen at Chartwell in Hamilton.

The chain already has 3D facilities operating at St Lukes, Albany, Manukau and Queensgate, Wellington.

Forthcoming 3D movies - after the currently screening Up and G-Force - include horror film Final Destination 4, animated hit Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, and James Cameron's much anticipated space epic Avatar.
