Shallow Hal actor Joshua Shintani has died at the age of 32.

The Hawaiian native passed away on Wednesday following a bout of pneumonia.

Shintani was known for the cameo he made in the 2001 film opposite Jack Black, and sang and played Never Forget Where I'm From on the ukulele.

He was also featured on the film's soundtrack.
