The twittersphere had a ball this week when self-described social media hater Paul Henry announced he was looking for a social media expert to join him on his new breakfast show next year.
Tweeters wrote their best one-liner hoping for a shoulder tap. Spy's favourite tweet was from @iAm-Bong whoposted a graffitied version (pictured) of one of the job ads plastered around Auckland.
Henry was scathing of the need for such an addition to his team, telling Spy on social media: "I have always been of the opinion it's for people void of a real life."
So who would be the perfect pal to bring Henry up to speed?
Council of Trade Unions boss Helen Kelly is the polar opposite to right-leaning Henry. Kelly can be abusive on Twitter in making her point, a trait that would make great TV. She could also stand up for the minorities Henry has famously got into trouble for abusing.
Bevan Chuang could give viewers an intimate insight to Henry's favourite target, Auckland mayor Len Brown. One look at Chuang's Instagram account would show Henry he has found a like-minded soul.
The Edge shock-jock Dom Harvey has made a dick of himself on social media before, why not pay him to do it professionally?
Cactus Kate, aka Cathy Odgers, could apply if she needs a new gig. She's witty, clever and not afraid to go for the throat. The twitterati would be shaking in its boots.
