Noel Gallagher has called his brother Liam a "squeaky toy that swears a lot" in a mocking interview on British radio.
The pair, who fronted Brit-rock band Oasis, are known for the constant in-fighting which led to the group's 2009 split.
They talked for the first time since the band's break-up amid their mutual jubilation at their beloved Manchester City football club's premiership win in May.
But in an interview with BBC Radio 6 last week, Noel showed the relationship had not thawed completely.
He told host Shaun Keaveny even their mother could not stop them fighting.
"I'm 45. He's 40," he said.
"It's not like me with my two lads - 'Give him his Darth Vadar mask now'.
"He's doing his thing. I'm doing mine. We text each other at Christmas. I saw him at a party after the Olympics - he did the usual which was hurl an insult at me and walk off."
Noel also told a story which called Liam's intelligence into question.
"We were round at his house one night. He says, 'Why have you got a fork in that bottle of champagne?' I replied, 'Cos it keeps the bubbles, keeps it fresh.
"A few weeks later we were round his house and opened the fridge door and there was a spoon in a bottle of milk."
Oasis split in 2009 after a backstage fight between Noel and Liam before a festival appearance.
Liam and the rest of the band went on to form Beady Eye, releasing their debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding last year.
Noel is releasing new music under the moniker Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
