Justin Timberlake has announced his first album in five years - but not everyone is getting behind the pop star's new image.
Timberlake revealed the date and title of his new album Man of the Woods in a video teaser, in which he is portrayed as a kind of countrywoodsman, running through cornfields and wearing a poncho.
"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I've ever written, where I'm from – it's personal," says Timberlake in a voiceover.
The internet swiftly began to pick apart Timberlake's new image, with some joking that the singer was trying to emulate alternative folk artist Bon Iver.
