The video appears to have a strong message running through it. Filmed in New Orleans, it seems to hint at the current controversies surrounding police brutality specifically relating to black people in America.
The video begins with a shot of Beyoncé stood on top of a floating police car whilst a still of a piece of graffiti, which reads "Stop shooting us", is also shown part-way through the video.
