As engagements go they don't come much more ritzy - or romantic - than this.
Start with a $262,000 diamond engagement ring.
Then book into an exclusive luxury lodge on the shores of Lake Wakatipu with your intended before a private helicopter ride for a picnic beside a waterfall.
The final touch? A magazine photo shoot worth a rumoured $393,000.
That's how carpenter-turned-model Jake Wall popped the question to his sweetheart, Australian supermodel Jennifer Hawkins, while they were on holiday at Blanket Bay Lodge, Glenorchy, last month.
Rooms at the luxury hotel - which actor Ian McKellen has called "possibly the best in the world" - start at $1667.50 and go up to $3162.50 a night.
Philip Jenkins, general manager of Blanket Lodge said: "They were a most lovely couple and we were thrilled to have them stay with us."
He was delighted Wall had proposed there, and that she had said "Yes".
Hawkins - who was crowned Miss Universe in 2004 and is one of Australia's most recognisable celebrities - told New Idea magazine in Australia about the surprise proposal.
"It was pretty amazing," she said.
"They flew us to the top of a mountain and dropped us off and we had a picnic at the foot of a waterfall."
Wall told the magazine of how he'd hired a helicopter to take them to the top of Mt Earnslaw Glacier for a picnic.
That evening he presented her with a jewellery box so big she assumed it was a necklace. Then he got down on one knee and popped the question.
Now the couple are planning an engagement party, followed by what's bound to be an opulent wedding day.
