Mischa Barton has spoken for the first time about being the victim of revenge porn - and how she was absolutely "terrified" about going public.
The O.C actress sat down with The View yesterday with celebrity lawyer Lisa Bloom, the same woman representing Blac Chyna in her legal battle with Rob Kardashian over his sharing of nude photos.
In her interview with The View, Barton revealed her ex had been "surreptitiously filming" her the entire time they were in a relationship.
"While we were intimate, all the time. He had multiple cameras," she said.
Adding, "I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it, I didn't think that anyone would do this to somebody, why would you want to do something like that. I'm shocked that people aren't aware how illegal it is.
Lawyers for Spaw and Zacharias issued statements to The View regarding the lawsuit with both of them denying any wrongdoing and that they "were confident they would be cleared of any criminal wrongdoing" once the police had finished their investigation.
The restraining order was granted with Bloom declaring "victory" on her Twitter in March because it meant Spaw and Zacharias were legally banned from distributing the images.
And despite the victory, Barton revealed she was "terrified" about going public with the scandal and filing for the restraining order, claiming she was worried it would turn fans off.
"I was terrified, it's hard to do," she said. "It's not easy to do, you worry what people will think and ultimately the outcome is better this way around. It's better when you can prevent these things. I don't think a lot of people knew that you could prevent this stuff from coming out," she added.
