They have been locked in a bitter war of words ever since their Oasis days.
But it appears Liam Gallagher has attempted to end the feud once and for all, as he pleaded with his brother Noel to get the band back together on Thursday.
The For What It's Worth singer, pleaded with his brother to "stop f***ing about" and get "the big O back together".
He took to Twitter to air his frustration after he heard that Noel was performing at gigs without alcohol, penning: "Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can't drink alcohol now that's the BeZarist thing you've done yet I forgive you now let's get the BIG O back together and stop f***ing about the drinks are on me LG x"
So far Noel is yet to respond to his request, however Liam later said, "Cmo" in a follow up tweet, further adding to the hysteria from fans.
One of Liam's followers replied saying: "What!!!! Man's reaching out. Could you imagine...."
While another added: "Love this. Let's get it on and bring back the big O."
One fan suggested that an Oasis reunion would be the perfect headline act for next year's Glastonbury festival, writing: "Made for Glastonbury 2019 this".
However another follower thought that Liam was better off alone, he said: "Liam Oasis were great, I seen you enough times stick to your new stuff it's sound la(sic)."
Liam and Noel's long-standing dispute dates back to their days in the band, before Noel quit insisting that he couldn't work with his brother "a day longer".
Their time in the band details sensational arguments during interviews, where they repeatedly swore at each other, and even resulted in physical violence.
Even during solo interviews the brother's took time to insult the other, during an interview with Q magazine Noel said: "He's rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy. He's the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup."
Their on-going argument continued following the Oasis split in 2009, where during a BRIT acceptance speech Liam thanked every member of the band except for Noel.
This carried on for years before Noel offered fans a glimmer of hope by wishing Noel a Merry Christmas in December 2017.
After reports emerged in December the pair had finally built a bridge and hoped to re-unite over Christmas, Liam swifty dashed all dreams of a reunion.
"He pi**es me off, I pi** him off. I think he's a bit of a snob," he replied after Edwina Bartholomew probed him on the status of their feud.
"All the money and success went to his head, the people he knocks about with are pretty snobby."
The youngest of the Gallagher brothers then suggested the fact Noel writes his own music was proof of his arrogance.
"He writes his own songs and his gigs are boring... I don't write my songs and my gigs go OFF," he said.
However it appears Liam may finally have put the past behind him with his latest tweet asking Noel to give things another go.
