The first trailer of Me Before You, offers a sneak peek of a romantic tear-jerker, which could rival The Notebook.
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and Hunger Games star Sam Clafin star in the film, which tells the story of a small town girl who forms an unlikely bond with a quadriplegic in the English countryside.
Louisa Clark (Clarke) lands the job of being Will Traynor's (Clafin) caregiver. Will is a high achieving, handsome and wealthy young man who becomes disabled after a recent road incident.
The first trailer of the UK film reveals the pair don't get along initially.
"He hates me. Every time I speak he looks at me like I'm stupid," Clark complains.
Traynor has promised his parents to wait six months before he pulls the plug on his own life.
But as time goes on, Clarke shows Traynor the point of living and their relationship begins to blossom, and they fall for each other, with a number of tear-inducing moments along the way.
"You are pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning," Traynor tells her.
The film, based on the best-selling 2012 novel by Jojo Moyes, hits Australian cinemas on June 16, and the advice would be to any lover of romance films to have plenty of tissues on hand.
