"She's not only just out of the intelligence agency, she's actively working against the people who she used to be employed by," said Gansa.
"She carries the show on her shoulders and she does it in such a graceful and powerful way."
Meanwhile, Gansa is he's excited for the return of science fiction drama The X-Files.
Gansa was a key writer during the early seasons of the original The X-Files series.
"I cannot wait. Mulder and Scully are like part of my family, so I'm really, really curious to see what the show is going to look like," Gansa told Fox.
"It's going to be very exciting and interesting."
Unfortunately, however, Gansa said he won't be involved in the series limited return.
"I am so sorry that I was too busy to be involved," he said.
