Staff cuts on agenda for The PC Company

Local PC assembler The PC Company may cut staff as it restructures its business. Chief executive Rob Sweet said a move to a new factory in Hamilton and productivity improvements had allowed the PC Company to consolidate. The PC market was also sluggish. Research house IDC has reported PC sales for the third quarter 9 per cent down on the previous quarter with no sign of improvement until next year.
