Ebos said today it has bought specialty medical supplier Vernon-Carus Australia, its second Australian acquisition this week.
Ebos' managing director Mark Waller said in a statement the total cost of acquiring both Vernon-Carus and Stelmara Medical will be around $8 million.
He said both acquisitions will be earnings per share positive after funding costs.
The announcement comes just three days after the listed medical supplies company announced it had bought Melbourne-based Stelmara Medical.
Vernon-Carus is a national distributor to the Australian hospital and aged care markets. The business is headquartered in Melbourne and supplies specialty products in the areas of waste sanitation, infection control and pressure mattresses with an excellent mix of equipment and consumables.
Mr Waller, said the business will form the basis of Ebos' Australia-wide expansion into the mainstream hospital and aged care markets.
Ebos shares were down 3 cents in mid afternoon trading at $3.75, having traded between $3.00 and $3.80 over the past year.
