For every takeover offer for a listed company made public, there are another 50 deals happening behind closed doors, a leading mergers and acquisitions lawyer reveals on Markets with Madison.
“I think with reduced [market] prices and reduced expectations from sellers, there’s a little bit more activity starting to takeplace,” MinterEllisonRuddWatts partner Mark Stuart said in today’s episode.
Two new takeover targets have emerged on the NZX in Eroad and Metro Performance Glass, following the $1.6 billion private equity purchase of Pushpay earlier this year.
