Baypak-Katipak merger makes Kiwifruit giant

Baypak and Katipak have merged to form the kiwifruit industry's biggest cooperative.

It expects to have a $40 million turnover next year. The multimillion-dollar enterprise unites $40 million in assets, including eight coolstores and nine packhouses, and will employ more than 2000 people during harvest.
