Greenhithe Riding for Disabled are holding a fundraising movie afternoon on Sunday 2nd August at 3pm at Hoyts Wairau Park, screening Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.
Greenhithe RDA is a not for profit organization providing equestrian therapy for people with disabilities. Benefits of riding therapy include balance and co-ordination, posture and muscle tone, concentration, self discipline and self-esteem, and perception and spatial awareness. They have 13 disabled riders and a devoted volunteer base of around 50 people.
The money raised will enable Greenhithe RDA to continue to provide funding for the cost of horse care and support to coaches, therapists and volunteers to provide individual riding therapy. It will also raise funds for the projects account, which has recently provided for a new tie-up area and horse pens.
Single tickets are $20. Family options are available. Included in this price is the chance to win door prizes including magazine subscriptions, horse treks and Butcher Jack vouchers. The best dressed child "Harry Potter" fan will also win a prize!
