One of the world's smallest dictionaries has returned to its Australian makers more than 110 years after it was printed.
The Smallest English Dictionary in the World measures just 3cm in length, about the size of a 20c piece. It was produced in 1890 at Brisbane book printers Watson Ferguson and Company, which bought it recently for $287 from a Canadian collector to celebrate the firm's 135th anniversary this year.
