An off-duty police officer in Maryland has died after he was attacked in an argument over a parking space.
He was out celebrating his 38th birthday when a dispute broke out over a parking spot outside a restaurant, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told CNN.
"One suspect pulled out a blunt object and bludgeoned the officer."
It is not known whether the attacker knew the man was a police officer.
