A Texan man accused of importing cocaine worth A$1.8 million ($2.05 million) through Melbourne airport faced court yesterday.
Adam Chase Cherrington, 21, of Grand Prairie, Texas, arrived on a flight from Mexico via Los Angeles last Friday.
Three kilograms of cocaine was allegedly found strapped to his body.
Federal police later arrested two Mexican men already in Australia, and charged them with aiding and abetting the importation of a commercial quantity of cocaine.
