Power outage in Mexico

A power outage hit Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula yesterday, cutting electricity to hundreds of thousands of people.

The Federal Electricity Commission said a faulty transformer apparently caused the outage.

Nearly the whole peninsula, including the beach resort of Cancun, where the World Trade Organisation is to meet this month, was affected.
