A festival-goer's chilling selfie video appears to show a reveller putting a mystery 'pill' in her drink as she parties with a friend.

The blonde was filming the wild party scene as she danced around with a friend, holding her phone in one hand and carelessly dangling her drink with the other.

At one point, when the cup is tilted away from her, the man sneaks up behind her and appears to discretely drop something into her drink, the Daily Mail reports.

The video was posted on Twitter on Wednesday with the warning: 'I'll never understand how a dude can be so wack with no game and feel the need to be such a disgusting predator. Ladies watch your drinks!'

Social media users quickly reacted, expressing their shock and disgust. However, some are labelling the video as fake.

The clip is 15 seconds long and has been viewed more than 10 million times on the social media platform.

It has garnered more than 95,000 retweets as men and women share the video as a chilling warning to friends.

The video shows two young women at an outdoor party as music blares.

The suspected victim raises her phone higher to give a better view of the scene.

The man who later appears to drop something into her drink stands only a few feet behind her with his friends.

He motions to someone off camera, waving them over, then moves out of the view of the camera.

The man, dressed in black and sunglasses, suddenly appears again and seems to drop an unknown substance into the woman's cup. He then quickly walks away.

The clip was uploaded by Twitter user Jaeda_sky, who later updated concerned people on the girl's condition, saying she was okay.

She wrote: "She's okay. She noticed. Thankfully."

Social media users quickly reacted, expressing their shock and disgust.

One said: "If we get men attempting to drug us ON CAMERA and you still don't believe it happens... i don't understand you lmao."

Maya Wazowksi wrote: "Woowww the drink can literally be in my own hand and I'll still get roofied."

However, some are labelling the video as fake.

One said: "U can all use your heads. Think about how convenient this is lol. Dude saw she had her phone up and there was a camera. Who would be that bold?"

Another added: "Ok this happened in Brazil and they're friends and he was 'joking'. She already posted that she is fine and he was just being silly. Anyway, it's always good to be aware."
