YouTube user RyanMCell posted an incredible video to his page showing his porch being blanketed in snow during the blizzard.
A blizzard with hurricane-force winds brought much of the US East Coast to a standstill Saturday, dumping as much as 3 feet (90 centimetres) of snow, stranding tens of thousandsof travellers and shutting down Washington and New York City.
New York Mayor Bill De Blasio's said in a press conference the blizzard "is likely to be among the top five worst in New York City's history, going back to recorded storms in the 1800s. The storm will earn that distinction once snowfall totals hit 20 inches in Central Park".
