Lions on prowl in Arkansas

Residents of a small town in central Arkansas are keeping guns at the ready in case there are more African lions than the four they have already killed.

Townsfolk of Quitman believe the lions belong to an animal farm operator who moved in almost a year ago with 11 African lions, 30 tigers, five mountain lions and a lynx. The owner claims that someone who tried to give him lions last week turned them loose on his 17.6ha property, which is not fully fenced.
