Lion rips off keeper's arm

A lion ripped off a keeper's arm yesterday as she was giving her family a private tour of the animal park in Tampa, Florida, where she worked.

The 21-year-old keeper was listed as in serious condition at Tampa General Hospital after the incident at Busch Gardens.

Park officials told the Tampa Tribune newspaper that the keeper, whose name was not released, may have put her hand between the metal bars of the cage, possibly to feed the animal.
