Ferris wheel fall kills boy

A 6-year-old boy plunged 27m to his death from the top of a Ferris wheel while his mother watched from below.

Ruben Castillo was riding alone in his gondola at the San Joaquin County Fair in California when he fell.

Safety and health officials were told that the boy tried to climb out of his seat.
