After a decade-long secret investigation NSW police have today released two identikits as partof a global search for the man who attacked women across Sydney's eastern suburbs.
The predator climbed balconies to attack women inside their homes. The offences lasted 15 years, stopping in 2001, when police believed he committed his last attack at Waverly Cemetery.
He kept his face covered on all occasions, and in most cases, he was dressed in casual clothing, including tracksuits, hooded jumpers, football-style shorts, or singlets.
Sex Crimes Squad Detective Sergeant Eugene Stek told The Daily Telegraph: "Just because the attacks stopped doesn't mean we have stopped hunting him."
Police hope the release of the identikits will help identify the man.
Following five related rapes in the eastern suburbs in 2005, the original investigation began. At the time the predator was labelled "The Bondi Rapist" and linked to the attacks.
Using updated technology in 2007 the cold case justice review project re-examined multiple sex attacks. A link was found between The Bondi Rapist and an attack in Thompsons Bay at Clovelly in 1985.
Stek said this discovery, among other links, expanded the investigation.
Detective Senior Constable Melissa Cridland, who has examined hundreds of sex attacks in the area said the offender "is very cunning and has evolved his modus operandi over the years as his age and maybe circumstances have changed".

Investigators believe the man would now be aged between 45 and 64, and describe him as being about 160-180 centimetres tall, with a dark complexion, dark, wavy hair, brown eyes, and a broad nose.
His physique changed over time, and in the 1980s was described being of a thin build, then in the early 1990s was described as being of a medium build, and in the later 1990s was described as being of an athletic or muscular build.
He kept his face covered on all occasions, and in most cases, he was dressed in casual clothing, including tracksuits, hooded jumpers, football-style shorts, or singlets.
Police were told the man was always either armed with a knife or threatened the presence of a knife, and spoke with an Australian accent.
On April 9, 1994 Police are certain The Bondi Rapist was drinking at the Coogee Bay Hotel before committing rape, The Daily Telegraph reported.
During some attacks police also believe he watched his victims before striking.
"A number of the attacks were aggravated break and enters where the assaults took place inside the victims' homes by climbing on to balconies," Cridland said.
