Clinton's pet Buddy killed by car

Buddy, the playful chocolate labrador retriever often seen romping on the White House lawn with Bill Clinton, was killed by a car near the former president's home in Chappaqua, New York on Thursday.

The dog was famously rambunctious, once knocking down Clinton as the former president became tangled in his leash, and gulping down a box of reporters' doughnuts in short order. Buddy was 4 1/2 years old when he was killed.
