Police want to charge British rail network operator Railtrack with corporate manslaughter after an inquiry into a train crash that killed four people, including a New Zealander.
British Transport police believe there is sufficient evidence to charge the company over the crash at Hatfield, north of London, last October.
Aucklander Robert Alcorn, 37, a commercial pilot, was killed when the train derailed at 180 km/h.
Thirty other passengers were injured.
