British nurse risks being struck off after child porn charges

Former Bay City Rollers drummer Derek Longmuir faces being struck off as a nurse after being convicted last year of possessing child pornography.

Longmuir, aged 50, a former nurse at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, lost a bid to avoid a hearing before the regulatory authority for nurses.

He was sentenced to 300 hours of community service after pleading guilty to two charges of having indecent photographs, videos and computer discs at his Edinburgh home in September 1988.
