Teenage boys are alleged to have visited the home of murdered Fiji Red Cross director John Scott and his New Zealand-born partner, Gregory Scrivener, to perform sexual favours the night before the two died.
A social worker in Suva has told TV3's 20/20 that six well-known teenage prostituteswent to the couple's home on June 29 to exchange sexual favours for food and cash.
"Some of them stayed overnight and they left the house at six in the morning," the social worker said.
But Mr Scrivener's sister, Janice Giles, said yesterday that both men attended the Red Cross fundraising ball the night before their deaths.
"It's an enormous social function. They also would have been there quite a bit the previous day organising it all."
Fiji police have already suggested that Mr Scott and Mr Scrivener were involved in paedophilia and drug use.
The pair were found hacked to death in their Suva home on July 1. Police have arrested a 23-year-old man who claims to have had a sexual relationship with the couple when he was a schoolboy.
Police say they found a carton of pornographic photographs in the house, along with a white powder which they believe is cocaine.
The families of Mr Scott and Mr Scrivener did not wish to comment further last night on the boys' allegations but have previously rubbished the paedophilia claims.
The social worker, who will appear tomorrow night on 20/20, said she specialised in helping Suva's street kids and believed the boys were telling the truth.
Meanwhile, Fiji police have begun a paedophile inquiry as a result of the double murder.
Videotapes seized from the victims' home are being viewed and people involved in child sex activities may be taken in for questioning.
The man accused of killing the couple, Apitia Kaisau, is undergoing a psychiatric assessment.
