The Whanganui team were greeted by early morning showers, but have had an otherwise uninterrupted preparation for today's Port Nelson motorcycle street races.

Fresh from his unbeaten run in the Suzuki Series super moto (modified motocross) class to reclaim his title, Richie Dibben is joined by Dowman brothers Scott and Ben. The trio all race Honda CRF450 machines sponsored by Dowman Contracting.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to resurrect his F1 super bike career, Jayden Carrick has rolled out his Wanganui Welldrillers/Wanganui Toyota-sponsored Kawasaki ZXR10.

Under the rules of racing on the revamped Port Nelson circuit, grid positions are determined by previous year performances, so as newbies to the meeting, the Whanganui team have been relegated to the back of the field.

Each class have a practice run this morning before racing proper begins. Ecah class will have two or three races if time allows aswell as the King of Port Nelson race with grid positions determined by lap times on the day.
