When Cecilia and Collie Hancock come to see their great-granddaughter's work on display at St Joseph's, it brings back many memories. The couple, who have been married for 62 years, were both pupils at the school themselves.
Great-granddaughter Lexi (6) is in room three at the school, and was thrilled to be able to show her great-grandparents her certificate for first place for her "flower carpet" at the school's Mission Day last Friday.
Cecilia said the school has changed a lot.
"We had the sisters teaching us, of course, we had the calf judging, but nothing like all this. These kids are so gifted, just look at all the work they are creating."
Collie agreed it has changed a lot but he and Cecilia said some things have not changed at all. "The character hasn't changed, it still has a lovely feel to the place, a very caring school," says Cecilia.
