"It's been a great three and a half years, but it is time for Crossroads to close its doors," says Grant Kite, owner of Crossroads Bar and Grill.
Grant says the reasons behind the local bar and restaurant closing on May 4 is due to key staff members leaving. "Our
head chef, who is based out of New Plymouth, has found work a little closer to home," Grant says, adding that he is also looking for to some down time himself.
Grant has been working in the hospitality industry in and around Stratford for more than 15 years.
"I love working in this industry and really getting to know my customers. I have very much enjoyed being behind the bar for the past few years and will miss seeing everyone."
One of the highlights of running the bar and restaurant in Stratford was the connection to the community. "Crossroads has always been a big supporter and sponsor of many groups and clubs in Stratford".
