It is the end of the road for the Toko & Districts Lions Club Chateau to Plateau ride.
This year's event was the 12th year the club had run the charity motorbike ride, which starts at Chateau Tongariro on Mt Ruapehu and finishes at the Stratford Plateau on Mt Taranaki.
The ride has been popular over the years, and a very successful fundraiser for the club, raising over $100,000 over the years for the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust.
Despite this, Mark Masters, a member of the Toko & Districts Lions Club, says this year's ride was the last one.
"Regretfully we have decided that this years ride is to be the last. Declining numbers of riders wishing to take part in the event simply means that it has run its day. We know that some riders will be disappointed that there will not be a 2020 ride, but as the saying goes, all good things come to an end."
