This dramatic footage shows just how lucky the crew of a racing yacht were when their vessel sank during an event in the United Kingdom.
The video of the Dubois-designed half tonner Alchemist was captured by rescue boat Mudeford during the Round the IslandRace -- a 50 nautical mile course that rounds the Isle of Wight.
The incident happened on July 2 but the video has only just now come to light.
Skippered by Andrew Talbot, Alchemist hit a shipwreck off The Needles with crew members on board having to be rescued by the Christchurch-based Mudeford inshore lifeboat team.
The crew got off the boat just seconds before it sank.
Spare a thought for the owner of the yacht, built in 1978. It was competing without its owner Mark Wynter, who is the Commodore of the Island Sailing Club, the host of the race.
