Triathlon: Australian trio intact for Commonwealth Games

The same three women who represented Australia in the triathlon at the Sydney Olympics will go to this year's Manchester Commonwealth Games.

Former world champion Nicole Hackett won yesterday's last race of the national series in Geelong, Victoria, to confirm her Games berth.

She won a sprint to the finish ahead of Queenslander Loretta Harrop, who was already confirmed.

Olympic silver medallist Michellie Jones finished fifth yesterday behind national series winner Barb Lindquist and fellow American Siri Lindley.

Although the lineup is unconfirmed, Jones' placing is good enough to make her the third member.
