What's next: Froome has said he will not target the stage win but instead try to protect his yellow jersey on Stage 18. The 172.5-kilometer (107-mile) trek from Gap to L'Alpe d'Huez features two huge ascents of the famed Tour climb. Both of the ascents are known as HC (Hors Categorie) because they are so tough they are considered beyond classification.
