Younes El Aynaoui enhanced his reputation as one of the true "nice guys" of men's tennis with a generous gesture on day one of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany.
Having cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Christopher Kodersich - a 19-year-old German playing his first ATP Tour match- in the last match on court one, El Aynaoui, of Morocco, stunned everyone present by asking his opponent if he would like to play another set.
The umpire agreed to the request, and the two players played out a third set, which, for the record, was won by El Aynaoui 6-1.
