Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo made a low-key first appearance for his new club AC Milan in the annual Luigi Berlusconi Trophy against Italian champions Juventus in Milan yesterday.
Milan won the match 3-1 on penalties after the game ended goalless after normal time.
Rivaldo, who joined Milan from Barcelona last monthafter cancelling his contract with the Spanish club, was substituted in the 62nd minute after what was, by his standards, a subdued performance.
The Brazilian, wearing distinctive white boots, had been given a rapturous welcome by the home crowd.
