Markus Anwander, the German ski coach involved in the tragic accident which killed French racer Regine Cavagnoud two weeks ago, has come out of a coma, Innsbruck University Hospital said yesterday.
Anwander woke from the coma he has been in since Cavagnoud crashed into him near Innsbruck on October 29.
World Super-G champion Cavagnoud died of her injuries two days after the accident. The 40-year-old coach has a fractured skull, spine and jaw.
