80.00 - The referee blows his whistle and finally puts Tonga out of its misery. The All Blacks win 91-7 on a wet night.

78.12 - Nothing can stop the All Blacks now. Howlett finishes off a line movement with a try in the corner. MacDonald is spot on with the conversion and his team leads 91-7.

75.03 - Recent history almost repeats itself with Muliaina and Howlett chasing a kick. This time Howlett is allowed to dot down. MacDonald makes no mistake and the All Blacks lead 84-7.

72.10 - The All Blacks turn the ball over in the Tongan half. A kick downfield sees a footrace between Howlett and Muliaina. Muliaina gently touches down behind the posts. MacDonald takes the kick from further back to make it more difficult, but is successful anyway. All Blacks lead 77-7.

68.50 - The All Blacks begin a line movement from a scrum five metres from the Tongan line. The ball reaches MacDonald, who strolls over for the try. He converts his own try. The All Blacks lead by a massive 70-7.

65.54 - Va'enuka is sent to the sinbin for ten minutes for repeated infringements. The Tongans are down to 14 men.

61.13 - All Black captain Reuben Thorne is substituted for the first time in the World Cup with Richie McCaw coming on.

60.03 - MacDonald almost scores a try, but is just short of the line. Tonga is awarded a scrum five metres out.

56.40 - All Black fullback Mils Muliaina beats seven Tongan defenders to score under the posts. MacDonald converts to take the All Blacks' runaway score to 63-7.

53.06 - The All Blacks try to run the ball from a scrum deep inside their own half. Marshall's pass goes straight into Tongan first five-eighth Pierre Hola's hands. He runs through for the try, which is converted by replacement back Sateki Tu'ipulotu. The All Blacks lead 56-7.

51.10 - The All Blacks are awarded a penalty try after Tongan halfback Martens goes offside at a scrum five metres out. MacDonald converts the try and the All Blacks lead 56-0.

46.10 - The All Blacks get a rolling maul on near the Tongan line and in driving rain try-scoring prop Kees Meeuws goes over for another. The All Blacks score is extended by MacDonald's conversion. All Blacks lead 49-0.

41.02 - Tongan replacement back Gus Leger knocks the ball forward. Marshall passes it to Ralph who runs 20 metres to score under the posts. MacDonald converts the try and the All blacks lead 42-0.

Halftime - All Blacks lead 35-0.

40.00 - The All Blacks end the half on the attack. They have scored five tries and are obviously in control. The Tongans looks set to have a lot of points scored against them.

37.15 - Tonga begins an enterprising move in their own half and although there is strong running by second five-eighth John Payne and halfback Silo Martens, the move ends in a lineout.

33.01 - Ralph chases his own kick and the Tonga fullback Sila Va'enuka is forced to take the ball back over his own tryline. He fails to ground the ball and Spencer, who is following up, pounces and scores the try. MacDonald makes no mistake with the conversion. All Blacks lead 35-0.

27.00 - The All Blacks win the lineout and the New Zealand pack takes the ball up before releasing it to halfback Justin Marshall. Marshall passes it Ralph, who dummies and scores near the posts. MacDonald kicks the conversion and the All Blacks stretch the lead to 28-0.

25.00 - The All Blacks are awarded a penalty after the Tongan forwards enter a ruck from the side. Spencer kicks for the lineout five metres out.

23.00 - An All Black move in the Tongan half results in hooker Corey Flynn taking a pass from wing Caleb Ralph and racing down the touchline to score in the corner. MacDonald converts and the All Blacks lead 21-0.

16.00 - A good line movement by the All Blacks sends the ball to wing Doug Howlett, who kicks in field. Second five-eighth Daniel Carter collects and scrambles over for a try. Spencer converts the try to take the All Blacks to 14-0.

9.33 - All Blacks awarded a penalty after illegal scrumming by Tonga. First five-eighth Carlos Spencer kicks for touch ten metres from Tongan line. All Blacks win the lineout, but a backline move ends in a scrum to Tonga. All Blacks keep up pressure in Tongan half, but begin to make a few handling errors.

5.40 - All Blacks win a lineout five metres out and flanker Daniel Braid crashes over after rolling maul. Centre Leon MacDonald is successful with the conversion. All Blacks lead 7-0.

1.49 - Tonga kicks off and the two teams spend the first two minutes sizing each other up, with a number of kicks exchanged.
