Rugby: Puma recovering from heart attack

Argentine lock Alejandro Allub is well on the road to recovery after suffering a heart attack last month following the test against the All Blacks in Christchurch.

Allub left hospital in Cordoba yesterday without making any comment.

But those close to him say he has decided to give up international rugby to pursue a career in medicine.

"This warning will not stop him leading a normal life," said Carlos Martinez Cano, director of the Allende de Cordoba Hospital. "But I think it is not reasonable to believe he can continue playing rugby."
