Nathan Friend's acrobatics for the Warriors against the Melbourne Storm on Sunday has become a world-wide hit.
The small halfback stunned fans and players alike when he jumped on to the back of Storm player Kenny Bromwich, caught a cross kick and passed the ball back through his legs while falling to the ground.
Respected American sports channel ESPN rated the feat good enough to place it top of its Plays of the Day segment and video of the backflip has gone viral.
