Rugby league: Fearsome Broncos power to victory

The Brisbane Broncos are the 2000 National Rugby League champions.

The Broncos beat the Sydney City Roosters 14-6 in today's Grand Final at Stadium Australia.

Wingers Lote Tuqiri and Wendall Sailor scored tries for the Broncos, while Michael de Vere slotted 3 goals.

Craig Fitzgibbon scored the only try for the Roosters, with Luke Phillips nailing a penalty.

Brisbane led 10-2 at halftime.
