Rugby League: Tallis calls it a day

Queensland and Brisbane Broncos captain Gorden Tallis has announced his immediate retirement from representative league.

Tallis, 30, had been expected to lead Australia on the Kangaroos tour to New Zealand, France and Britain, but he said his body could no longer handle the rigours of combined club and representative league.
